Session: The Future of Health and Wellness: What’s Next?

Dr Artemis Kontou is a Senior Researcher at KIOS CoE, University of Cyprus, and an entrepreneur focusing on innovation and growth. She leads a research team applying deep learning and AI to improve health outcomes. She is the founder of Tseepor and co-founder of Malloc, a data security startup that has reached over 1 million global downloads. She also serves on the Board of Directors of MEDTL Medical Technologies and is an Appointed Member of the Board of Directors of the Nicosia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Artemis holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and has research experience across academia and industry, including roles at Shell UTC, AkzoNobel, and the European Commission Joint Research Centre. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and holds international patents.

With over 20 years of experience in software development and cloud architecture, I work at the intersection of technology, AI, and investing. I’ve spent my career helping enterprises design scalable systems, modernize legacy platforms, and apply data-driven thinking to complex problems.

In parallel with my work in technology, I have a long-standing interest in investing and financial literacy. I approach investing the same way I approach engineering—using structured analysis, disciplined processes, and increasingly, AI-powered tools to improve understanding and decision-making.

In this talk, I’ll share how individual investors can use AI responsibly to assist with stock research, pattern recognition, and learning—while staying grounded in fundamentals, risk management, and long-term thinking.

Elpidoforos Anastasiou leads the strategic development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies across the cyprus investment hub ecosystem. He fosters partnerships with tech startups, and ensures seamless integration of emerging tech solutions.

Elpidoforos is a prominent leader in educational innovation, currently serving as Head of Educational Innovation for STEAM & Emerging Technologies at Globeducate. He founded the Cyprus Space Foundation, creating a platform for integrating space science into education, which includes nine Space Centers across Europe that provide hands-on experiences in AI, robotics, and sustainability.

Elpidoforos developed AInstein Junior, the first multilingual educational AI chatbot, which has inspired the creation of twelve additional AI-driven robots across Europe. He also leads the award-winning AI Sustainable Cities Project, empowering students to design eco-friendly cities through AI and real-time data. As a Ph.D. candidate at the Cyprus University of Technology focusing on Space Exploration in Education, he aims to redefine STEAM learning, fostering growth mindsets and ethical technology use to prepare students to actively shape the future. He also serves as Head of Innovation at Pascal International Education, one of the most forward-thinking institutions.

Pavlos is leading C People Advisory – member of C Business Advisors,

as a Partner and lead consultant with prestigious professional exposure. He is an expert facilitator for businesses and academic institutions, and a former Investors in People practitioner. He has also been extensively involved with start

– ups particularly in the HR tech field, from the conceptualisation stage to development, commercialisation, and representation to VCs.

Prior to joining C People Advisory as a Partner, he was a Consulting Director at a Big4 Firm for a decade, and after that he set up and was managing a reputable HR

advisory firm for 6 years, leading a large team of consultants and executing

high profile projects for the public and private sectors in Cyprus and in Malta, directly employing more than 200 professionals assigned to projects.

For more than 20 years he has been providing consulting services to local and international organisations in relation to setting up and managing businesses, determining corporate strategy, improving their employer brand, ensuring

management effectiveness, enhancing corporate culture and people’s engagement, and sourcing talented professionals. He holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BEng in Civil Engineering from University College London.

Konstantinos Karamatzianis is Co-Founder of Dabster Labs, an Electrical & Electronic Engineer, and works for CX Financia. Throughout his university years, he gained broad experience across engineering, AI, IoT, and technology-driven projects. Today, he focuses on AI automation, CRM/CX systems, and intelligent workflows that help SMEs improve efficiency and customer experience.

Theodora Christou is Co-Founder of Dabster Labs and an Electrical & Computer Engineer and works for Centre8 Education. With expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, neural networks, prediction, and pattern classification. She combines engineering, research, and education experience to support AI-driven solutions for businesses and organizations.

Giorgos Kosta is a Machine Learning Engineer at Aseto, where he specializes in advancing speech recognition technology for AI voice agents. With a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Leeds, he has built expertise in fine-tuning and deploying state-of-the-art STT models for low-resource language dialects. Prior to joining Aseto, Giorgos has led R&D initiatives spanning generative AI, large-scale geospatial analytics, and medical imaging classification. His work included delivering tutorials and presentations on AI and HPC topics and building educational HPC infrastructure to promote computational science adoption.
